Inflammatory bowel disease in the elderly

Senile inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in the elderly generally refers to patients with inflammatory bowel disease who are older than 60 or 65 years at the onset of the disease. In addition, it also refers to a group of elderly patients with inflammatory bowel disease that develops when they are young. Continue to age 60 or over. Due to the special age of the elderly, the etiology, differential diagnosis and treatment of bowel disease are more complicated than young people, such as ischemic bowel disease, infectious bowel disease and drug-related enteritis.
