Drug-induced liver disease in the elderly
Drug-induced hepatic disease is referred to as drug liver. Refers to liver damage caused by the drug itself or its metabolites. It can occur in healthy people who have no previous history of liver disease or patients who have had a serious illness. Different degrees of liver damage occur after using a certain drug, which are called drug livers. At present, at least 600 kinds of drugs can cause drug liver. The main clinical manifestations are liver cell necrosis, cholestasis, intracellular microlipid deposition or chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, etc.
