Abdominal wall fibroblastoma
Desmoid of abdominal wall is a fibroid that occurs in the myometrium and fascial sheath of the abdominal wall, so it is also called abdominal wall ligament-like fibroids, zonal tumors, and fibromatosis. Because the growth of the tumor is invasive, recurrent, and locally destructive, it is also known as invasive fibromatosis, fibroid tumor-like hyperplasia, abdominal wall recurrent fibroid tumor, and abdominal wall fibroblastoma. The tumor has no malignant signs in histomorphology and no lymphatic or blood metastasis, but it is invasive, easily recurrent, and locally destructive, and has certain differences from benign and malignant tumors. Therefore, Wills (1950) defined it as Borderline tumors are recognized by more and more scholars. The WHO (1994) defined it as a differentiated fibroblast tumor, whose biological characteristics are between benign fibroblastoma and fibrosarcoma, and can recur locally without metastasis.
