Orbital cellulitis

Orbital cellulitis is an acute purulent inflammation of the soft tissues in the orbit. The subjective and objective symptoms are severe, and can even cause meningitis or cavernous sinus thrombosis and be life-threatening. Most are unilateral, occasionally involving both.
