Muscular hernia

Myocele refers to a type of hernia formed when muscle tissue protrudes outward through a defect or weakness in a fascial sheath. It is relatively rare in the clinic and occurs in the calf. Most muscle hernias are below 0.6cm, sometimes multiple or bilateral. Its symptoms are mild, disappear after rest or at rest, and are often overlooked or missed.
