Congenital syphilitic cirrhosis
With the opening of China to the outside world, the infection rate of syphilis has been on the rise. However, due to the application of specific drugs, congenital syphilis is rare. Of the patients with congenital syphilis, 80% involve the liver. It may be that Treponema pallidum penetrates the placenta, enters the umbilical vein and finally reaches the liver. Both congenital syphilis and erythroblastoma can cause jaundice, which is easy to confuse, but the serology of children with congenital syphilis is positive.
