Melanie Gangrene
This disease is a progressive skin gangrene ulcer that occurs after surgery or trauma. It is characterized by edema, erythema, and refractory skin around the wound. Described by Brewer and Meleney in 1926. Skin lesions are caused by simultaneous infection with S. aerobic and S. aureus.
