Appendix carcinoid
Carcinoid of appendix is the most common type of gastrointestinal carcinoid. It is mainly located in the submucosa of the appendix. 70% to 90% of the appendix carcinoid is less than 1 cm. Most clinically there are no obvious symptoms, and most of them are found during or after surgery due to the clinical manifestations of acute appendicitis, and their prognosis is better than that of other carcinoid tumors.
