Chondrosarcoma
Chondrosarcoma of bone is a malignant tumor originating from cartilage tissue, most of which are secondary to benign cartilage tumors, such as endogenous chondroma and osteochondroma. Its type is more complicated and sometimes makes diagnosis difficult. According to the tumor development process, it can be divided into primary and secondary. The former has an earlier age of onset, high malignancy, rapid development, and poor prognosis, while the latter is a malignant change in benign tumors such as osteochondroma and chondroma, which develops later, develops slowly, and has a slightly better prognosis, accounting for 4% of chondrosarcomas.
