Thyroid tumor
Thyroid adenoma (thyroid adenoma) is a benign tumor derived from thyroid follicular cells and is the most common benign thyroid tumor of the thyroid. It is currently believed that the disease is mostly monoclonal and is caused by stimuli similar to thyroid cancer. Occurs during the active phase of thyroid function. Follicular and papillary solid adenomas are classified clinically, the former being more common. Often a well-defined nodule within the thyroid sac with a complete envelope. The size ranges from less than 1 to 10 cm. The disease is sporadic throughout the country and is more common in endemic goiter areas.
