Hypertrophic osteoarthropathy
Hypertrophic osteoarthropathy (HOA) is a syndrome caused by the thickening of the soft tissue around the bone and the formation of new periosteum. The clinical manifestations are clubbing fingers (toes), extensive periosteal new bone formation, joint pain and effusion.
