Idiopathic scoliosis
Scoliosis of unknown cause during growth and development is called idiopathic scoliosis. Idiopathic scoliosis is generally divided into three types according to age characteristics: infantile type (0 to 3 years old); juvenile type (4 to 9 years old); and youthful type (10 to 16 years old). According to the anatomical position of the scoliosis apex, it is divided into: ① cervical curve: the apex is between C1 and C6. ② Cervical-thoracic curve: the apical vertebra is between C7 and T1. ③ Thoracic Bend: The vertebrae are between T2 and T11. ④ thoracolumbar bend: the vertebrae are between T12 and L1. ⑤ Lumbar curve: the parietal vertebra is between L2 and L4. ⑥ Lumbar and sacral curvature: the parietal vertebrae are at L5 or S1.
