Middle ear cancer

Carcinoma of middle ear is rare. It can be primary to the middle ear or secondary to the external ear canal or nasopharynx. Most have a history of chronic otitis media. Malignant changes of the external ear canal papilloma also often invade the middle ear. . Squamous cells are common and sarcomas are rare. The prevalent age is 40 to 60 years.
