Adult Still's disease

Still's disease is a serum-negative polyarthritis, a type of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. It was first reported by Steele (1897). Its clinical features are long-term irregular fever, with enlarged liver, spleen, and lymph nodes, anemia, leukocytosis, multiple large, medium and small arthritis, and muscle disease. The disease is clinically and pathologically different from adult rheumatoid arthritis. Its systemic symptoms are prominent, rheumatoid factor is mostly negative, and it is related to HLA-B27.
