Enterobacter cloacae infection

Enterobacter cloacae is widely found in nature and can be detected in human and animal feces, water, soil, and plants. It is one of the normal intestinal bacteria, but can be used as a condition pathogen. With the widespread use of cephalosporins, Enterobacter cloacae has become an increasingly important pathogen in hospital infections. Bacterial infectious diseases caused by it often involve multiple organ systems, including skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, Bacteremia, sepsis, ophthalmitis, etc. Because Enterobacter cloacae can produce extended-spectrum β-lactamases (ESBLs) and Amp C enzymes, which cause serious drug resistance, it brings new challenges to clinical treatment.
