Sebaceous nevus

Sebaceous nevus (nevus sebaceus) is a proliferative disease caused by abnormally increased sebaceous glands in the skin. Also called sebaceous gland hamartoma, organ-like mole, congenital hyperplasia of sebaceous glands, etc. This disease occurs more often at birth or shortly after birth. Occurs on the head and face. The local mass is pale yellow with enlarged sebaceous gland openings that are characteristic of this disease. Resection is reliable.
