Patent ductus arteriosus

This disease is more common, accounting for 15% of the total number of congenital heart diseases, more common in women. Ten to fifteen hours after birth, the arterial catheter begins to functionally close. 2 months to 1 year after birth, the vast majority are closed. Arterial ducts are not occluded after 1 year of age.
