Multisystem organ failure
Multiple systemic organ failure (MSOF), also known as mul-tiple organ failure (MOF), occurs simultaneously or sequentially after severe infection, trauma, major surgery, pathology and obstetrics, etc. One or more clinical syndromes of organ failure. The concept of MSOF began in the late 1960s and early 1970s. At that time, it was a new clinical syndrome, so it was also called 70s syndrome. It is also a hot topic for medical research at home and abroad. For more than 20 years, although domestic and foreign scholars have made a lot of efforts to this end, the incidence and mortality of MSOF have not really decreased. One of the main reasons is the lack of a unified understanding of the concept of MSOF and early clinical diagnosis methods. Too much emphasis on the endpoint of MSOF makes it difficult to guide the early diagnosis and clinical prevention of MSOF.
