Chronic salpingo-ovaryitis
Ovarianitis and salpingitis occur together, known as fallopian tube ovitis or appendicitis. In the acute stage of salpingo-ovaryitis, if treatment is delayed or incomplete, the prolonged delay will become chronic. With many powerful antibiotics available today to effectively treat acute fallopian tube ovarian inflammation, the possibility of acute conversion to chronic lesions has been greatly reduced. However, tuberculosis infections are generally chronic disease processes.
