B herpes virus infection

B herpes virus (B virus disease), also known as herpes virus simiae, is named for its infection in monkeys. After being bitten or scratched by a monkey infected with BV, skin damage, lymphadenitis, and influenza-like syndrome can occur, and toxic encephalitis can develop.
