Plasma cell mastitis
Dilation of mammary duct is a rare, chronic breast disease with a long course, complicated and diverse lesions. It is common in middle-aged and elderly women with a peak age of 50-60 years. It was once named "venous dilatation", "plasma mastitis", "acne mastitis", etc. It was named "breast duct dilatation" because Haagensen and Stout believed that plasma cell infiltration only It is an inflammatory reaction in the later stage of the disease. The primary lesion and its pathological characteristics are the basic lesions of dilated ducts of the breast. Recently, some scholars believe that plasma cell mastitis is not an inevitable process of mammary duct dilatation. Plasma cell mastitis has its characteristic morphology and clinical manifestations, and regards it as a special type of mastitis.
