Hypervitaminosis A is caused by ingestion of a large amount of vitamin A at one time, causing acute vitamin A poisoning, which manifests as a temporary increase in intracranial pressure within 24 hours. Symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, and prominence of anterior ridges appeared. Symptoms can gradually disappear after discontinuation. If you take a large amount of vitamin A or cod liver oil for a long time, too much vitamin A will appear, manifested by symptoms such as loss of appetite, itchy skin, hair loss, irritability, and bone and joint pain.
