Automatism

It refers to some more or less involuntary, meaningless, purposeless stereotyped actions that occur during or after the seizure, when the patient's consciousness is still in a turbid state, which cannot be recalled after awake. The clinical manifestations are diverse, which may be repeating the action that was originally underway, or it may be a new unconscious action, or a reaction action to hallucinations and illusions.
