Metacarpal index and phalangeal index both increased

Metacarpal index = sum of the length of the 2nd and 5th metacarpal bones / sum of the transverse diameter of the 2nd and 5th metacarpal bone. The metacarpal bone is the bone of the palm of the hand, starting from the thumb, followed by the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth metacarpal bones. The clinical manifestations of Marfan syndrome are an increase in both the metacarpal index and the phalanx index.
