Lumbar back sinus

Congenital Dermatoid Sinus: It is common in the headrest or at the midline of the waist and back. Coexisting with recessive spina bifida, there may be congenital spinal canal endothelial or epithelioid mass. This kind of sinus is more common in the lumbosacral region, and the local soft tissues can be slightly raised. The skin around the foramen of the sinus can be seen with reddish pigmentation, and there are clumps of hair. Occasionally fine hairs protrude from the small holes. Sometimes a little liquid leaks out. When secondary infection occurs, the area may become red, swollen, and painful.
