Large chest plaque
Patients with filariasis are more common in those who work outdoors and often come in contact with this type of rot. It can manifest as superficial ulcers, petechiae, dark brown spots, or verrucous hyperplasia, conscious slight itching or mild pain, and some may have no conscious symptoms. Subcutaneous tissue-type dark filariasis often has isolated, deep subcutaneous or muscle abscesses or cysts, and skin lesions can be as large as apricot nucleus or a few centimeters, or even large plaques throughout the chest.
