Inguinal hernia
The hernia sac protrudes through the deep inguinal canal outside the inferior abdominal wall. It passes inward, downward, and forward through the inguinal canal and then out of the superficial inguinal ring. It can enter the scrotum, called an inguinal hernia. 90% is the most common external abdominal hernia.
