Upper limb weakness

Early amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is usually weakness in the upper limbs. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis affects the upper motor neurons (brain, brainstem, spinal cord), and affects the lower motor neurons (cranial nerve nucleus, anterior horn cells of the spinal cord) and the inner trunk, limbs, and head and facial muscles. A chronic progressive degenerative disease. Clinically manifested as mixed paralysis of upper and lower motor neurons combined with damage.
