Emotional paralysis

"Emotional paralysis" is a phenomenon that exists in many patients with post-traumatic stress disorder. Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), also known as delayed psychogenic reaction, is a delayed response caused by a stressful event or situation. PTSD is a delayed and / or lasting response to an unusually threatening, catastrophic event. Traumatic events are a necessary condition for the diagnosis of PTSD, but they are not a sufficient condition for the occurrence of PTSD. Although most people will experience symptoms of varying degrees after traumatic events, research shows that only some people eventually become PTSD patients.
