Prostate calcification
Prostate calcification and fibrosis are scars left after inflammation and healing of the prostate gland and are a precursor to prostate stones. Prostate stones are often accompanied by chronic prostate inflammation, and these lesions can usually be seen by B-ultrasound. Due to the special structure of the prostate, there is generally no good treatment for calcification and stones. Prostate calcification (fibrosis) and stones can breed bacteria, so it is a cause of recurrent prostatitis and cannot be ignored.
