Subcutaneous hematoma

Extensive or localized bleeding in the skin and submucosa, forming red or dark red patches of skin and mucous membranes, with a diameter of about 3-5 mm or larger. Usually the diameter is less than 2 millimeters, the bleeding point, greater than 5 millimeters is called ecchymosis, local bulging or fluctuating, hematoma.
