The legs are not the same length
Unequal length of the two lower limbs means that the length of the lower limbs is not the same. Necrosis of the femoral head at an early age results in unequal lengths of both lower limbs. After polio, the blood circulation in the lower limbs is reduced due to muscle paralysis, the blood supply to the epiphysis is inadequate, and the slow growth of the bones leads to contraction of the limbs on the diseased side.
