Pseudopyloric metaplasia
Metaplasia is divided into intestinal gland metaplasia (intestinal metaplasia) and pseudopyloric gland metaplasia. The former is commonly seen in atrophic gastritis and occasionally in superficial gastritis or even normal mucosa, while the latter is only found in atrophic gastritis, which refers to the gastric body mucosa. It is replaced by the gastric antrum mucosa, which often moves upward along the small curvature of the stomach.
