Tendonitis and tenosynovitis
Tendon inflammation (tenosynovitis) and tendon sheath inflammation (tenosynovitis) usually occur simultaneously. Synovial lining tendon sheaths are usually the areas with the most inflammation, but the inflammatory response can affect the tendons that they envelop (as a result of deposits such as calcium).
