Ischemic hypoxic encephalopathy

Ischemic hypoxic encephalopathy (HIE) is a brain lesion caused by hypoxia in perinatal neonates. It is mainly caused by intrauterine distress, neonatal asphyxia and hypoxia, and a few can occur in other causes of brain damage.
