Ringworm
Auricular tinea begins with red pimples and blisters. Then it desquamated and gradually spread around and expanded into a large erythema, covered with scales. The edges are clear and there are pimples or blisters. It can extend to the external ear canal, whole ear, and neck and face. Most patients had a history of topical corticosteroids. Conscious itching is obvious, often on one side. May be accompanied by ringworm, tinea corporis, tinea capitis, etc. Scrape scales and 10% KOH solution to directly observe the branched hyphae. Dermatophytes grow in culture.
