Persistent intracranial murmurs, continuous murmurs like a machine roar, are aggravated when the heart contracts, often affecting sleep, can be heard in the forehead with a stethoscope, and the common carotid artery on the affected side is compressed with fingers, and the murmurs weaken or disappear.
