The vitreous bulges out of the anterior chamber through the pupil
Vitreous hernia refers to the protrusion of the vitreous through the pupil to the anterior chamber. Common after cataract extraction. Vitreous hernia easily causes corneal edema and opacity when it comes into contact with the corneal endothelium.
