Duodenal transposition
Duodenal transposition refers to a vertical two-thirds resection of the stomach to make a small curved gastric tube to retain the pylorus. The proximal anastomosis of the duodenum is away from the distal end of the ileocecal valve and the ileocic valve is near. The end is anastomosis with the ileum to form a common channel with a length of 100cm, so that less nutrients are absorbed to achieve weight loss. Duodenal transposition is currently used in the treatment of obesity.
