Ceruloplasmin
Cp is a copper-containing glycoprotein. Electrophoresis is located between & alpha; 1- & alpha; 2 globulin, which is generally classified into the & alpha; 1 globulin region. One molecule of Cp can be combined with 8 copper atoms and is blue, so it is called ceruloplasmin. It is synthesized by the liver and partly excreted from the bile ducts. Cp molecule terminal sialic acid is linked to the polypeptide and has genetic polymorphism.
