Arginyl succinate lyase

Arginyl succinate lyase is an enzyme produced during the anabolic process of urea. It is the most abundant in the liver and is found in small amounts in the small intestine and kidney. When liver disease occurs, arginyl succinate lyase can enter the blood with the destruction of liver cells. At present, the significance of measuring arginyl succinate lyase in diagnosis of hepatitis is equivalent to that of transaminase.
