Salivary immunoglobulin

The immunoglobulins in saliva are mainly SIgA and SIgG. The content of SIg in resting saliva is often higher than that in irritating saliva. RIA and unidirectional diffusion methods are often used for determination. Saliva immunoglobulin (Ig) is one of the main protein components of saliva, of which secretory (sIgA) is the main component in saliva Ig. It is of great significance in the specific immunity and etiological diagnosis of various oral and systemic diseases.
