Serum aldolase isoenzyme

Aldolase (ALD or ALS) generally refers to fructose aldolase 1,6-bisphosphate in the glycolytic pathway. Increased serum ALD is mainly used to diagnose muscle and liver diseases, and may also be caused by pathological changes in some tissues or organs in the body. The aldolase isoenzymes in each tissue have their own characteristics, so the determination of serum aldolase isoenzymes can improve the specificity of the tissue and can more accurately judge the location and extent of the lesion.
