The fly pupae test is a dermatological test that checks for the presence of fly pupae that cause skin diseases. Fly maggot disease is a parasitic disease caused by the larvae (maggots) of a fly parasitizing human or animal organs or tissues. Dermatophytosis is an inflammatory response caused by the larvae of certain flies that penetrate into the skin.
