Cavernous Hemangioma of the Spinal Cord
Cavernous hemangioma, or cavernous vascular malformation, can be found throughout the central nervous system. Its lesions are characterized by thin blood vessels that are thin and lack elastin or smooth muscle. The thin-walled ducts are lined with endothelial cells and are therefore prone to bleeding.
