Urethral lift test
The urethral lift test is an auxiliary examination method to check whether the urethral function is normal. One of the causes of tension urinary incontinence is the weakening of the posterior urethral support tissue, the downward movement of the bladder neck, and the disappearance of the posterior angle of the bladder neck. When the abdominal pressure increases, the urinary sphincter is pulled further by the downwardly moving bladder wall to open it, causing urinary incontinence . Raising the bladder neck and reconstructing the posterior horn of the urethra can treat urinary incontinence. This test is performed by raising the bladder neck and observing the presence or absence of urinary incontinence to determine whether there is posterior urethral droop.
