Fragmented red blood cells

Schistocyte: Red blood cell fragments or incomplete red blood cells. Different sizes and irregular shapes, there are various forms such as spine, helmet, triangle and so on. Normal human blood smears have less than 2% lobed cells, and they occur more frequently in disseminated intravascular coagulation, microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, and severe globin-producing anemia.
