Anti-endogen antibody
Anti-internal factor antibody is an autoantibody against internal factor and belongs to IgG. Anti-internal factor antibodies may be present in the patient's serum, gastric fluid, and saliva. Anti-internal factor antibodies can cause gastric mucosal atrophy, inhibit internal factor activity, and reduce the concentration of vitamin B12 in the blood, leading to pernicious anemia and neurological symptoms. The determination of anti-internal factor antibodies is helpful for the diagnosis of malignant anemia.
