Free thyroid index

The biological activity of free thyroxine can directly reflect thyroid function and is not affected by changes in TBG, but the content is very small, the determination is difficult, and the required reagents are more expensive. Clinically, free thyroxine index (FT4I, FT3I) can be used to indirectly reflect serum free thyroxine levels.
