Butterfly fracture

Introduction

Introduction Butterfly fracture is a morphological clinical symptom of ulnar shaft fracture. Displaced, unstable butterfly fractures, feasible open reduction, first to fix the butterfly block with screws, so that the ulnar is folded into a whole body, and then fixed on a neutral plate. More common in the sudden attack of external forces, the patient raised his hand to cover the head and face when the club was directly hit. Because it happened in the case of a strong encounter with the road, it was also known as the night burglar (cane) fracture.

(1) Causes of the disease

More caused by direct violence.

(two) pathogenesis

More common in the sudden attack of external forces, the patient raised his hand to cover the head and face when the club was directly hit. Because it occurs in the case of a strong encounter with the road, it is also known as the night stick fracture. This fracture line is mostly horizontal or with triangular bone. Because of the support of the humerus and the small number of attached muscles, the degree of displacement is also slight.

The full length of the ulna is subcutaneous and shallow, so it is easy to find the subcutaneous hematoma at the fracture after the injury. There is obvious tenderness at this place, and the bone friction sound between the fold ends can be touched. In the clinical examination, attention should be paid to the position of the humeral head and the swelling and tenderness of the elbow to avoid missing the dislocation of the humeral head. Frequent missed diagnosis of crack fractures, so type fractures are not deformed, no bone friction, only local swelling and tenderness, be vigilant at work.

History of trauma, local hematoma, tenderness, blisters and abnormal activities, X-ray examination can clearly show fractures.

Diagnosis

Differential diagnosis

Should be differentiated from various fractures:

Residual plant fracture

Residual plant fracture is a type of calcaneal fracture. The most common fracture of the calcaneus fracture is the middle-aged male. Residual plant fractures: longitudinal (oblique) fractures of the distance and the heel joint.

2. Oblique fracture

Oblique fractures are unstable fractures that are prone to displacement and are dangerous. They must be absolutely braked and handled with care. Unstable fracture refers to unstable bone fractures, such as oblique fractures, spiral fractures, and comminuted fractures.

3. Tongue fracture

Tongue type fracture of calcaneus fracture: caused by multiple vertical violence.

4. Linear fracture

Linear fracture refers to the shape of the fracture line, generally no displacement, and is a relatively minor fracture. The common linear fracture is a linear fracture of the calvarial bone. It is a skull fracture that occurs under the external force of the skull and the bone, and there is no displacement. The incidence of traumatic brain injury is extremely high, often combined with intracranial Brain parenchymal damage.
